Use of Drones in Educational establishments

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or Drones as they are more commonly known as, are playing an increasingly important role in many courses available in Educational establishments.

Insurance is available to cover the third party risks emanating from the use of Drones, but rarely is it automatically included in your usual insurance programme as aviation/aerial risks may be barred from many general insurance treaties. Please ensure that your teams are advising you of the use of drones in your organisation and speak with your account executive to arrange appropriate public liability insurance.
